Voicewright Privacy Policy
Effective: June 10, 2026
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Voicewright is operated by Hapimane (the developer name shown on Google Play, referred to below as “the developer”). The App does not send your audio, transcripts, polished text, or history to a server operated by the developer.
1. Information the developer does not collect
- Audio: Microphone audio is converted to text on your device. It is not sent to the developer and is not stored as an audio-history file.
- Text and history: Transcripts, polished text, and history are processed and stored in the App's private on-device storage. The App provides no developer-operated cloud sync.
- Account: No account is required. The developer does not receive your name, email address, Apple ID, or payment-card details through the App.
- Advertising and tracking: The App contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK.
2. When a network connection is used
These connections do not include your audio, transcripts, polished text, or history. The developer does not operate an external server that processes your audio or text.
- Voicewright compatibility-model downloads: After you review the displayed size and confirm, speech models may be downloaded from GitHub and writing models from Hugging Face. Those providers may process normal connection data such as an IP address, date and time, region inferred from an IP address, device or OS type, App version, or User-Agent under their own policies. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement and Hugging Face Privacy Policy.
- Apple on-device models: On a compatible iPhone or iPad, the App may use speech-recognition or Apple Intelligence models managed by iOS. Audio and text processing remain on the device. Apple manages any required system-model download and update; these requests do not include your recorded audio, transcript, polished text, or history. If an Apple feature is unavailable, the App visibly selects a Voicewright-managed on-device model before recording.
- Purchases and restoration: Apple or Google processes Premium purchases, restoration, and subscription status. The App receives the product identifier and entitlement status and stores only what it needs to enable Premium locally. Google Play Billing on Android may send Google limited operational and technical information, such as purchase-query, restoration and purchase-flow events, response codes, processing time, Billing SDK, App and operating-system versions, device model, and network type, to provide, maintain, and improve purchasing. This does not include recorded audio, transcripts, polished text, or history. The stores manage payment credentials. Limited transaction and sales information may be available to the developer for settlement, support, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. See the Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
Model downloads use HTTPS. The Android App also disables unencrypted cleartext HTTP in its application configuration.
3. Data stored on your device
- Copy, writing-style, language, terminology, and domain settings
- Custom dictionary correction pairs containing the recognized spelling and your preferred spelling
- Transcript and polished-text history, but not recording audio
- Daily Free-plan usage and locally cached Premium entitlement status
- Downloaded speech-recognition and writing models
When new history is stored, records older than 90 days or beyond the newest 1,000 entries are deleted. The OS may remove cached models. You can clear App storage through your device settings, and uninstalling the App removes its local data. Device backups managed by Apple or Google may include App data depending on your OS settings; the developer does not create, inspect, or synchronize those backups.
To request access to or deletion of information managed by the developer, use the contact address below. The App has no developer-managed account or external server storing your audio or text. You can delete on-device information using the methods above; requests concerning information held by another provider must be directed to that provider.
4. Sharing and sale
The developer does not sell or send your audio, transcripts, polished text, or history to third parties. Model-distribution providers and app stores handle the limited connection and purchase information described above. See each provider's privacy policy to exercise rights concerning information held by that provider. Only when you choose a destination through the system share sheet does the OS provide your selected text to that app or service. The destination provider's privacy policy applies after you choose to share.
5. Children
The App is not designed primarily for children. The processing and network practices described in this policy apply regardless of age.
6. Changes and contact
The last-updated date will change when this policy is revised. Material changes will be announced when required.
